THE NATIONAL MOVIE AWARDS 2011 TERMS AND CONDITIONS

General guidelines for voting:

These vote guidelines are for votes made via the websites www.itv.com/nma and www.nationalmovieawards.com ("the websites") or via the official voting forms. Please note that it is not possible to vote via any other method not specified here.

Entrants can vote once for their favourite nominee from amongst a short-list of contenders (the short-list) in each of the following seven (7) National Movie Awards categories:

- Drama
- Comedy
- Animation
- Must-See Movie of the Summer
- Fantasy
- Performance of the Year
- One to Watch: Brits Going Global

Voting restrictions

You may only vote for one nominee in each of the 7 categories, and only one set of votes per e-mail address will be allowed. If you have exceeded the limit when voting via the website your votes will not be counted but you may still incur network usage charges if applicable.

The producer of the programme, The National Movie Awards ("the programme") their sub-contractors, subsidiary and/or agencies are committed to operating viewer voting fairly, and to preventing abuse of its systems. Hence, we reserve the right to disqualify votes if we have reasonable grounds to suspect, having regard to all circumstances and information available to us at the relevant time, that fraudulent voting has occurred, that is designed to excessively manipulate the outcome of the vote or otherwise.

Voting times

The vote is opened at 00:01 on Friday 1st April 2011 and closes 23:59 on Monday 18th April 2011. Votes made or received outside of these specified times will not be counted. The producer of the programme may amend the voting times, suspend, withdraw or re-set voting or change the rules for voting at its sole discretion at any time.

Voting via the websites

To vote for a nominee, go to www.nationalmovieawards.com or www.itv.com/nma and follow the instructions given there. You may vote for only one nominee in each category and you must provide a valid email address. There is no charge for voting via the websites, although internet service provider's fees may apply.

Voting via post

To vote by post, you must fill in an official voting form as found in the relevant publications or via the Vote Form Request Line. Photocopies or other duplication of these voting forms will not be accepted.

You must then complete the form as instructed, place it in a sealed envelope with the relevant postage paid and post it to: The National Movie Awards 2011, PO Box 5339, Birmingham B23 3PH.

Applications sent in by post are deemed received upon arrival. Voting forms submitted by post must have the correct postage paid. Voting forms sent without the correct postage, or which are sent to any other address will not be counted.

All postal votes must reach the above address by 23:59 on Monday 18th April 2011. The producer of the programme, their sub-contractors, subsidiary and/or agencies accepts no responsibility for any votes which do not arrive at this address by the closing date. Votes received after this date and time will not be counted.

The official voting form can be obtained by calling the Vote Form Request Line on 0844 646 2060 no later than 23:59 Wednesday 13th April 2011. Calls cost 5p from a BT landline, other networks may be higher and from mobiles will considerably more.

Voting details

Only votes for nominees on the publicised list and received by the producer of the programme within the voting period will be counted. Please note that web votes may be liable to transmission delays and votes made before the deadline, but not received until after the deadline will not be counted.

The winners of each of the seven categories will be announced within the programme at the ceremony, to be broadcast on ITV1 on Wednesday 11th May 2011.

In the event of a tie, i.e. where two or more nominees receive joint highest votes, then the award will be shared between those nominees.

All voting, by all approved means, will be monitored by PromoVeritas, the independent promotional verification service for fairness and integrity.

In the event of a technical failure or other circumstance beyond the producer"s reasonable control which affects the vote, the outcome of the relevant vote or votes will be determined by the producer of the programme having regard to all circumstances and information available to them at the relevant time.

The producer of the programme and their sub-contractors do not accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure, interruption or malfunction or any other problem with any telephone network or line, system, server, provider, software or otherwise which may result in any votes not being properly received heard, registered or recorded, and we will not be held liable in any such event.

The Prize Draw

UK based voters are eligible to enter a prize draw by either providing their name and e-mail address and clicking the "opt-in" box where instructed when voting via the website or by completing the relevant boxes on any official vote form which features the prize draw. Each eligible voter may enter the prize draw only once per e-mail address.

The draw will take place after 19th April 2011 and will be conducted by PromoVeritas from all eligible entries from all sources of voting. The first four (4) entries drawn at random will each be the winner of the prize. Each voter may be a winner only once. Entries on behalf of another person are invalid and will not be considered.

The prizes are a pair of VIP tickets for the winner and a companion to attend the National Movie Awards ceremony in London on 11 May 2011. The prize includes overnight hotel accommodation in London on the evening at the ceremony in London, and breakfast at the hotel. It is the responsibility of each winner to ensure that they and their companion are available to take up the prize on the relevant date as specified by the prize provider. It is a requirement that either the winner or their companion must be aged 18 or over, and they may be required to provide proof of age and eligibility. The prize is subject to restrictions and to availability. The prize provider may vary any element of the prize. The prize is non-transferable and non changeable. There is no cash equivalent or alternative prize. For the avoidance of doubt, the prize excludes all other costs and expenses not included in these terms and conditions including travel to and from the winner"s place of residence. Other restrictions apply. The Promoter is not liable for any costs, liabilities, damages or losses or for any medical conditions aggravated or incurred in taking up the prize.

Winners will be contacted at least one week in advance of the ceremony taking place, using the email address they provided when entering the prize draw. The Promoter, producer of the programme and/or the prize provider will not amend contact information provided once entry to the competition has been made. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact a winner, however those not contactable within 2 working days or those unable to comply with these terms and conditions and take up the prize as specified, may have their prize entitlement withdrawn and the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant drawn at random.

Winners may be required to participate in reasonable publicity relating to their win.

The winners' names and countries will be available from the producer at the address below after the ceremony.
